The metal-ceramic crown is composed of a metal base covered with several layers of ceramics, which is widely used for individual dental crowns but also for dental bridges and implant crowns.
It is composed of 2 types of alloys:
- a porcelain layer
- a metal framework
The metal framework is invisible. The result obtained is very aesthetic, the color of the natural tooth and very resistant, because there is a very strong chemical marriage between metal and ceramics.
Patients’ choices are often based on TLC for their lifespan and stability. The surface never fades.
